how do I know you?

how do I know you
when I’ve never
met you?
how do you have
my soul
in your eyes?
I can’t put my
finger on you,
can’t strip down
your pretty disguise

how can it be that
your heartbeat
dances to
the rhythm in
my chest?
you are
the stranger from
my dreams;
you are my very
worst and
my very best

our skin is magnetic
we meet like
crashing waves
your mind is my mind
you’re the taste
I always crave
I’ll wrestle with the wind
if it tries to steal
your aroma
you are the breath
inside my yoga
