the final product

there are five things
I’d like to change
about myself
I suppose it’s better
than having ten
I’m trying to have more love
for myself
not because I’m selfish
but because I give it all away
to others

I’m trying to be at peace
every single day –
not at rest or unproductive –
grateful and calm
about myself and my life
I’m trying to be inspired,
not lost in a daze of technology
await, create
step back, observe
and see that it is good

I’m trying to notice more of
the little things about people;
little things don’t stand out,
but if you notice
it shows that you care
I’m trying to give more time
to what I love
time is the only commodity
that tells the truth –
we worship with our watches

I’m trying to be less
perfect, less consumed –
less of a consumer –
Chuang Tzu taught me
living is the meaning of life:
got religion?
its better to get humour.
so there are more than five
things I’d like to change
some days there are five-hundred:
but I’ll never accomplish anything
If I don’t love myself
like I’m already
