When the sun burns out, the heart at the core of our solar system will stop beating; when our heart stops beating, the sun at the core our soular system burns out. Fire is central. It is our heat, our power, our vitality, our passion. Take a moment to breathe in and out, to listen closely, and feel heat exuding from the personal sun beating in your chest. What are you going to do with your fire? Each of us has a finite amount to at our disposal. How do you care for your fire? Burn it too hot and you will run out, but conceal it too conservatively and you will smother it.
For the poets in the room, you may take on additional challenges if you so wish:

Keep reading to see three examples from me.
- Fire Cadence
I melted into a syrupy glaze,
my puddled body laxed and lazed,
but I exhausted all my rest
and now I chase those wasted days
- Fire Rhythm
people fear the tightrope walk
but my blood is oil
so I’m scared to breathe fire
- Fire Flow
How long until I learn?
after I heal my burns
I bathe in fire,
though I swear I have turned.
